As the Manager (or aspiring Caesar), players are tasked with recruiting and training a team of five Letalis — fearless gladiators forged for the arena, where every battle is fought for "Glory or Death." Setting out across a mysterious, non-linear world filled with hidden dungeons and forgotten legends, the player must conquer coliseums ruled by powerful Caesars, one by one, in pursuit of claiming the title of Caesar for themselves.

Gameplay centers on recruiting Letalis through hiring at the market or catching them in the wild, then fusing compatible creatures together to create new, more powerful variants. Turn-based coliseum battles hinge on each Letalis's assigned fighting style — Valkyrie, Bandit, Ronin, and others — which counter or are countered by specific opposing styles rather than following an elemental-typing system, while permadeath mechanics add real stakes to team management and battle decisions as players explore the game's dungeons and secrets.
