RTM Audio Stage 2.0.8
NEWRTM Audio Stage 2.0.8 is a gain-staging and A/B comparison plugin from RTM Audio that combines STAGE (a measured, click-free trim to a target loudness) with EVEN (a loudness-matched A/B comparator) to help engineers set consistent levels and make unbiased tonal decisions.
RTM Audio Stage 2.0.8 Overview
Key Features
STAGE Automatic Gain Control (AGC) STAGE measures a track’s 95th-percentile level, not a single stray transient, and then suggests a static, single trim to land that pass precisely on your chosen target, listening to its loudest pass. Multiple Metrics for Targets Choose your target in Peak, RMS, VU or LUFS. Fast preset pills for common reference levels such as analog, streaming, hot and club loudness targets. Source Aware Presets SOURCE presets for Vocal, Drum, Bass or Master automatically associate a reasonable target and metric together. STAGE can even infer the appropriate source type on its own. True Peak Safe Trimming After applying a trim, STAGE runs a 4× oversampled inter-sample peak check and reports the resulting dBTP value, flagging it green when the signal safely survives lossy codec encoding. Zero-Latency, Click-Free Trim Also any gain changes are done over a 10ms ramp, so there are no audible clicks. The trim itself is a static gain change, so there is no latency added to the signal chain as it is not dynamic processing. Linked Multi-Channel Staging (SET ALL) Every instance of Stage acts as a satellite that can link to others across the same session. Hitting SET ALL from one main instance triggers every linked channel to land on its target simultaneously gain-staging an entire mix in a single click. Loudness-Matched A/B Comparison (EVEN) EVEN gains two processing chains to exactly matched perceived loudness, letting engineers switch between them even blind and judge tonal differences without the natural bias toward the louder option. Vote A/B (Blind) EVEN supports switching between matched chains blind and voting on which sounds better, then revealing the tally afterward, keeping tonal judgments honest and unaffected by which chain the engineer expected to prefer. Universal 2 Binary for Mac OS X Stage 2.0.8 ships as a Universal 2 Binary, so it runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs without separate builds.
