Download RTM Audio TxB EQ 2.0.26 for Mac Overview

TxB EQ is a program equalizer plug-in based on a simple but truly useful idea: two program EQs in one. A valve TUBE face for character-driven, harmonically colored shaping and a clean Baxandall face for gentle, broad shelving that's phase-honest and clean at the extremes. Both faces have the same input and output gain staging, so swapping between them is the cleanest possible A/B test – color versus clarity, judged on the same source, gain matched, with no volume differences to skew the comparison. The Baxandall face is designed to give phase honest low and high shelves, dual-mono or Mid-Side control, a mono-below to keep the low end centered and stereo width and a tilt master for final tonal balance. What really makes the TxB EQ special is Push-Pull, RTM Audio’s term for bidirectional, per-band dynamic EQ that is built into a full program EQ — something the developer claims no other product does in quite the same way. You can create a resting curve for each band, then pull up when the signal gets soft, or pull back when it gets loud (or vise versa) all visualized right on the EQ curve: a dashed line shows where the EQ rests, and a gold line shows where it currently sits in real time. TxB EQ is one of several processors in RTM Audio’s catalog (others include D·MASK, PEAK, STAGE, and THROAT GOAT), all of which are built around the company’s stated philosophy of loudness-matched A/B testing and bit-exact null comparisons, so engineers can judge the actual change being made, rather than being fooled by a louder signal. TxB EQ is available direct from RTM Audio. No subscription required.

Key Features

Two Full Program EQs In One Switch between a valve TUBE face for harmonically colored character shaping and a clean Baxandall face for gentle, phase-honest shelving, all using the same gain staging for a true, gain-matched A/B comparison. Baxandall Shelves, Phase-Honest Baxandall face low and high shelf filters are phase honest by design, so broad tonal adjustments are kept clean of unwanted phase artifacts. Mid-Side and Dual Mono Controls Process in dual-mono or switch to Mid-Side mode with a mono-below control that keeps low frequencies centered while stereo content is spread out higher in the spectrum. Stereo Width & Tilt Master The master tilt and stereo width controls the whole tonal balance of the entire signal, giving you the big picture shaping outside of individual band adjustments. Bidirectional push-pull dynamics Dynamic EQ per band, bidirectional, over a full program EQ: create a resting curve, then let each band raise on soft passages and fall on loud ones (or vise versa) for musical motion most program EQs can't deliver. Real-time Curve Display See exactly what Push-Pull forces are doing in real time, a dashed line indicating resting curve, and a gold line indicating current live position of the EQ. Matching Loudness A/B Testing Comparisons within TxB EQ, like RTM Audio’s overall design philosophy, are all gain-matched so engineers are judging tonal change, not reacting to a louder or quieter signal. Null Test Bit-Exact Like the rest of RTM Audio’s catalog, TxB EQ is made with documented, measured components, not approximated modeling, so that bit-exact null comparisons can be made to verify exactly what a setting changes. no subscription, buy direct TxB EQ is offered directly from RTM Audio as a standard license with no subscription and bundle options are available with the company’s other plugins.

How to Use Download RTM Audio TxB EQ 2.0.26 for Mac

Step 1: Grab TxB EQ Download TxB EQ for macOS from macospace.com. Step 2: install & activate the plugin Load TxB EQ to a track, bus or master channel in your DAW. Step 3: Pick Your Face Choose the TUBE face for character-driven coloration or the Baxandall face for clean, broad shelving depending on the tonal result you’re after. Step 4 – Dual-Mono / Mid-Side Mode Either you can process in dual-mono, or you can switch to Mid-Side mode and use the mono-below control to keep the low end centered, while widening the stereo image further up. 5. Change stereo width and tilt Adjust stereo width to your liking and use the tilt master for final broad strokes on tonal balance over the mix or source. 6. Construct Push-Pull Dynamics Draw a resting curve for each band. Now enable Push-Pull and bands will dynamically lift or relax according to the level of the incoming signal. Step 7: Observe the live curve The dashed line is the resting curve, and you can watch it against the live gold curve to see exactly how Push-Pull is responding to your program material live. Step 8: A/B TUBE vs Baxandall This way you can switch between the two faces on the same source and compare color vs clarity directly. Same staging, same gain matching for a true comparison. Step 9: Check for Null Testing Use RTM Audio’s null-testing technique to see exactly what TxB EQ is doing to your source. Measure the actual tonal shift and not the perceived loudness shift.
