SIMON is a mastering equalizer plugin with a clean, precise EQ and an optional analog-style saturation stage. It’s for mixing and mastering engineers who want a hardware-style mastering EQ with exact.

Lemur Audio SIMON 2.0.28 Overview

SIMON is made by Lemur Audio, a small, new plugin company from the Czech Republic. It’s named after the developer’s son. The EQ is inspired by a famous transparent mastering equalizer, combined with a saturation section inspired by a classic tube parametric EQ. SIMON first launched in July 2026. SIMON 2 arrived in September 2026 as a free upgrade. It installs alongside SIMON 1, so older sessions open exactly as before. The layout is symmetrical, with two identical channels that can work as left/right or mid/side. Every frequency and Q setting is stepped, like on mastering hardware, so you can recall a setting exactly later. Version 2.0.28 adds a saturation slider for the faceplate colour, and SET AS DEFAULT now saves your colour settings.

Key Features

Two-channel mastering EQ. Each channel has high and low shelves, three fully parametric bands, and its own output trim. Mid/Side and Link. Process left/right or mid/side separately, or link both channels for quick stereo moves. HP and LP filters. New in SIMON 2: a 10–300 Hz high-pass and a 3–30 kHz low-pass on each channel, adding no latency. Four saturation models. Original, Class-A, Op-Amp and Tube, all driven by INPUT TRIM, with automatic gain matching. Three quality modes. ZL for zero-latency tracking, plus HQ and ULTRA for maximum quality when bouncing. Custom look. FULL or COMBINED faceplates in any colour you choose, saved with each instance.

How to Use Lemur Audio SIMON 2.0.28

Run the macOS installer and choose the AU, VST3 or AAX formats you need. If macOS blocks the installer, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. [VERIFY] Open your DAW and rescan plugins. In Logic Pro, SIMON appears under the AU effects. Open SIMON and paste your license key when prompted. If you already had an older version installed, update it first, because older builds can’t read new keys.
