8 Independent Sample Buffers Audio is continuously captured into 8 separate 8-second buffers, all recording simultaneously. When a New Sample event fires, the active buffer freezes and the next begins capturing fresh audio automatically. Time-Shift Sample Selection Use the Sample Select knob to stutter from the current capture ("Now") or reach back into any of the previous 7 captured buffers, giving direct access to recent audio history during a live performance. 16 Freely Assignable Performance Pads Each of the 16 pads can be assigned its own stutter interval — a beat fraction (1/8, 1/16), milliseconds, Hz, or a note value — with Pad 0 set to raw passthrough and Pad 1 driven by incoming MIDI note pitch. 4 Sequencer Patterns with AutoPattern A built-in step sequencer supports per-step trigger, record, and pad assignment, with row-level copy/paste and randomization. AutoPattern adds a 16-cell meta-sequencer with an adjustable loop region for evolving, chained stutter sequences. Always-On-Beat Quantization Live input quantization keeps every triggered stutter musically aligned to the beat grid, so performances stay tight and rhythmic even when played expressively or imprecisely. Deep Pitch and Timing Control Adjust pitch from -24 to +24 semitones with optional quantize, scale stutter speed from 0.1× to 10×, apply glide with musical-fraction or millisecond timing, and use momentary reverse playback or ±4-second time scrub within the sample slot. Flexible Trigger and Sample Sourcing Configure Trigger ON, New Sample ON, and Stutter FROM sources independently — choosing from Pads, Threshold, Sequencer, MIDI, or Every-beat timing to fit different performance and production workflows. Bézier-Curve Envelope Shaping Two independent Bézier-curve envelopes shape each grain (Grain Envelope, using ADHSR) and the overall note (Amp Envelope, using ADSR), giving precise control over the shape and character of each stuttered fragment.
