Orra Cream Limiter is a true-peak mastering limiter developed by Orra Audio, part of the same producer-built plugin lineup that includes Orra EQ and Orra Press. Built for getting a master loud, clean, and streaming-safe, it combines brick-wall true-peak limiting with a multiband engine and a signature saturation stage called Cream, designed to add perceived loudness and warmth without simply pushing the limiter harder. What sets Orra Cream Limiter apart is how it addresses the classic problem of broadband limiting: a loud kick drum pumping the entire mix. By splitting audio into independent frequency bands and limiting each one separately, a hard kick transient only affects the low band rather than modulating the mids and highs along with it, removing much of the pumping character associated with simpler single-band limiters. On top of this, the plugin's one-click Scout feature listens to a few seconds of a mix and reads its dynamics, tonal balance, transient character, stereo width, and overall "finishedness," then sets an appropriate Style, Cream amount, Release, and Stereo Link before baking the analysis into a static starting setting.

Set your desired true-peak ceiling and enable Auto Loudness if you want the master driven to a specific LUFS target. Choose a limiter Style — Transparent, Punch, Warm, or Smash — to match the character you want for the final master. Adjust the Cream saturation amount to add warmth and perceived loudness, or set it to 0% for a fully bypassed, bit-clean signal. Use the Scope view to visually confirm how the gain-reduction trace lines up with your track's waveform.
