Pulsar Modular ZORBA 1.1.8
PopularZORBA is a mono/polyphonic semi-modular synthesizer plugin from Pulsar Modular, built on the company's Pulsar P900 analog heritage with three oscillators, dual 904-F State Variable filters, and a 208-route modulation matrix. It runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs as an AU, VST3, and AAX plugin.

Pulsar Modular ZORBA 1.1.8 Overview
Key Features
Three-Oscillator Architecture VCO1 and VCO2 share a single continuous morph knob sliding between saw, square, triangle, and sine waveforms, while VCO3 is a fully independent sub-oscillator reaching one octave below the main pair, with its own tune, gain, and filter routing. Dual 904-F State Variable Filters Two independent filters based on Pulsar's own 904-F State Variable design, each offering low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, and notch modes with a resonance curve passing through clean, self-oscillation, transformer saturation, and a "Black Hole rebirth zone." Filter Coupling Modes Three filter coupling positions — OFF, FOLLOW, and SERIES — tie the two filters into split-mode independence, locked-cutoff parallel motion, or a serial VCF1-to-VCF2 audio chain. Expanded Modulation Matrix A modulation matrix connecting up to 12 sources to 38 unique targets across 208 total routes (expanded from an initial 174 in version 1.1.3), with no slot limits and support for multiple sources combining on a single target. Independent Noise Path A dedicated noise generator (White, Pink, Ether, Fray) with its own high-pass and low-pass filtering, routed independently of the main VCF1/VCF2 signal path so breath transients and chorus-style haze aren't shaped by the main filter cutoff. Three Envelopes & Two LFOs EG1 is hardwired to the VCA, EG2 to both filter cutoffs, and EG3 is a free envelope assignable to 26 mod-matrix targets; LFO1 is always mono for unified vibrato, while LFO2 can switch to polyphonic mode for per-voice modulation scatter.
