Advanced Custom Preset (FFmpeg Access) Provides an "Advanced Custom" preset for users who want to tap directly into FFmpeg's full range of options beyond Permute's built-in presets. Trim & Stitch in One Step Lets users trim and stitch multiple files together in a single operation, rather than needing to run trim and stitch as two separate passes. How to Use Permute 4 4.0.7

Launch Permute and drag video, audio, image, or PDF/text files directly into the app window. Select a built-in preset (device-specific, format-specific, or a Small File / High Quality quick-setup option) for your conversion. Use the crop and trim tools, with waveform and pixel-ruler views, to fine-tune the output before converting. Apply image filters if you're processing photos, choosing from the full range of blur, color, and stylistic effect options. Set up a Drop Zone if you regularly repeat the same conversion, so future files convert automatically when dropped onto it. Start the conversion; if you need to cancel, choose whether to remove it entirely or keep it in the queue for a later re-run. Use the Actions menu for additional tasks like splitting by chapters, exporting tracks, or combining an image with audio into a video
