extraDock 4.3.2 Overview

extraDock is a macOS desktop utility that allows you to create unlimited, fully customisable floating docks, and place them anywhere on screen, especially useful for multi-monitor workflows. extraDock doesn't replace the native macOS Dock, but works in conjunction with it, allowing you to create docks for specific purposes. How to Use extraDock 4.3.2

Using extraDock (Instruction) Step 1: Download/Install with Macospace You can get additionalDock by downloading the installer from the macospace, or by running the Homebrew install command in Terminal. 2. Start extraDock Launch the app from your Applications folder. On the first run extraDock might ask you to grant Accessibility permissions, so that extraDock can properly control the dock placement. Step 3: Construct Your First Dock Create a new dock with the extraDock interface. Name it for its purpose - eg. "Development", "Design", "Communication". Step 4: Widgets, Apps and Folders To build out the layout of the new dock, drag in your most used apps, folders and any widgets (spacers, etc.). Step 5: Install & Secure the Dock Drag the dock to where you want it on the screen, and if you have more than one monitor, you can pin the dock to one, so it’s locked to that display. Step 6: Appearance Settings Set the size, opacity, blur, border and colour of the dock, different visual styles to distinguish different docks at a glance. Step 7: Set Up Behaviour Set auto-hide on fullscreen, snap-to-edge, or free-floating behavior for each dock based on how you want it to behave during your workflow. Step 8. Repeat for other docks Create as many additional docks as you need for other monitors or workflows, each with its own independent configuration.
