WiFi Explorer Pro 3 is a professional Wi-Fi scanner and analyser for macOS that helps you design, validate and troubleshoot wireless networks in home, small office and enterprise environments. While a standard Wi-Fi scanner will provide you with the basic information about the nearby networks, WiFi Explorer Pro 3 offers an expert-level toolset for discovering channel conflicts, overlapping coverage, poor signal quality, and other issues that impact Wi-Fi performance and connectivity in the real world. The app includes passive and directed scan modes, spectrum analysis integration to visualise non-802.11 interference sources along with standard Wi-Fi data, and Zigbee integration to scan nearby Zigbee networks with a compatible USB adapter to understand Wi-Fi and IoT coexistence. Version 3 added the ability to create custom column profiles. This allows the user to switch between different sets of displayed columns for different troubleshooting scenarios – e.g. a Hotspot 2.0 profile showing HESSID and vendor type fields, or a mesh network profile showing different relevant data.
