MenubarX is a menu bar browser for macOS that allows you to pin websites, Web Apps and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) directly to the menu bar, thereby turning any webpage into a lightweight, ready-to-go native app. Rather than flipping between browser tabs to check out a service or tool, each pinned site gets its own menu bar item complete with its site icon, which can be opened with a click. Adding a tab to MenubarX gives it its own window size, user agent and auto-refresh settings. MenubarX also includes device simulators for iPhone, iPad, Android and even Kindle, so you can see and use a single webpage as if it was running on an entirely different device. It’s been featured as a Daily and Weekly Product on Product Hunt, and is designed to be lightweight, consuming less memory than the same sites would in a full desktop browser. It also adds support for custom network proxy (HTTP/SOCKS5) and the ability to delete bookmarks from home screen.Previous fixes included a fix for shortcut keys behaviour and window toggle responsiveness.
