Atlas is a world-clock and time-zone app for Mac from Theodore HQ, a small studio that also makes Echo, Charm, Shiny, and other Mac utilities. Its pitch is simple: it finds the moment everyone is free, for work, projects, or family. Instead of making users do time-zone arithmetic, it shows everyone’s local time on a living world map, then calculates the best meeting slot and writes the invite. The experience starts with the map. People are pinned to their locations in their own local time the moment Atlas opens, with daylight sweeping across the globe and working hours marked, so it’s immediately clear who is awake. Users can save separate groups for work, projects, or family and switch between them with ⌘1 through ⌘9. When it’s time to schedule, Atlas scores every 15-minute slot across the next five working days against everyone’s working hours, picks the slot where even the least-convenienced person is as well off as possible, and shows the top three. It respects each person’s regional weekend, flags slots that cross a daylight-saving change or the date line, and, if calendar access is turned on, hides times that conflict with what you’ve already booked. One tap then adds the meeting to Apple Calendar, Google, Outlook, Yahoo, or a universal .ics file, with each person’s local time written into the notes and a conversational message drafted for your mail client. Atlas is a native Mac app that lives in the menu bar as well as in its main window, and it is private by design: no account, no telemetry, and the team list, settings, and calendar stay on your Mac. It’s a one-time $4.99 purchase for up to three Macs, with all future updates included. It requires macOS 13 Ventura or later, runs natively on Apple Silicon, supports Intel, and is also available through Setapp. Only you need Atlas, since everyone else receives a normal calendar invite in their own time zone.

Launch Atlas and let it detect your location to set your own time zone. Add people by typing a city or time zone (F), optionally pulling an email from Contacts. Organize people into groups such as Work, Projects, and Family. Look at the map to see who is awake, and drag along the working-hours band to scrub to any moment. Review the top three suggested times, or press B to jump to the best one. Turn on calendar access if you want Atlas to hide your busy times. Press A to add the meeting to your calendar, or hand off to Google, Outlook, Yahoo, or an .ics file. Send the drafted message, and add the invitees in your calendar app so the invitation comes from your own account.
