Atlas 1.0.8 Overview
Key Features
Living World Map Every person you add appears as a pin on an interactive map, automatically labeled with their local time and updated the moment Atlas is opened. The map uses a daylight band so you can see who is awake at a glance rather than reading raw numbers. Smart Meeting Time Finder Atlas scores every fifteen-minute slot across the next several working days, weighing each person's working hours, and floats the top three overlapping options to the top instead of making you scan a full week manually. Custom Contact Groups Contacts can be organized into groups such as Work, Projects, or Family, and each group is switchable instantly using keyboard shortcuts, so you are never scrolling through one long unsorted list. Calendar-Aware Scheduling When calendar access is granted, Atlas reads your existing events (read-only) to hide times you are already booked and to flag conflicts before you commit to a slot, keeping the suggested times realistic. Regional Weekend and DST Awareness The app understands that not every region follows a Monday-to-Friday work week — for example, Friday–Saturday weekends common in the Gulf — and it flags any suggested slot that crosses a daylight-saving transition or the international date line. One-Tap Calendar Export Once a time is confirmed, Atlas adds it directly to Apple Calendar or hands off to Google Calendar, Outlook, Yahoo Calendar, or a universal .ics file, writing each attendee's local time into the event notes automatically. Quick Check Mode A lightweight scratch-pad mode, triggered with a keyboard shortcut, lets you drop in a handful of cities for a one-off comparison without saving anything to your permanent contact list. Menu Bar Companion Atlas lives in the Mac menu bar as well as its main window, giving a quick glance at who is awake across your groups without needing to open the full app. Contacts Integration The app can pull an existing contact's email directly from the macOS Contacts app as you type a name, speeding up the process of adding a new person to a group. Privacy-First Architecture Atlas does not use accounts, cloud sync, or telemetry. Your team list, groups, and settings remain stored locally on your Mac, with only minimal, necessary lookups (such as a one-time location check for your own time zone) leaving the device.
