SkyChart: Airline Executive 0.6.100.1 Story
SkyChart: Airline Executive doesn’t follow a story in the traditional sense, but rather its “story” unfolds over 90 years of real aviation history. Become a CEO in 1930 . Have a couple of biplanes and a little bit of capital . Start your own airline . As the decades unfold, the game incorporates over 190 historical events such as the Great Depression, World War II, the 1973 oil crisis, airline deregulation, 9/11, and COVID-19, each one transforming the industry and compelling players to adjust their strategy on the fly. The narrative arc traverses four distinct eras: Dawn of Flight (1930–1950), where the challenge is to survive with propeller planes and limited capital; the Jet Age (1955–1975), where aircraft like the Boeing 707 rewrite the rules of expansion; and later eras where deregulation and modern competition turn the airline business into a cutthroat war of pricing, alliances, and hostile acquisitions. There’s no characters or dialogue driven plot – the “story” is the airline itself, and how it survives through nine decades of real world turbulence.
